Kazakhstan to Launch Local Production of Popular Changan Sedan

Kazakhstan is preparing to start production of a popular model from Chinese automaker Changan Automobile, signaling a new step in the country’s growing auto industry.

Serial assembly of the Changan Eado Plus will soon begin at the Astana Motors Manufacturing Kazakhstan facility. The sedan has already received local vehicle type approval, clearing the way for production, The Caspian Post reports via Russian media.

The model measures 4,730 mm in length with a 2,700 mm wheelbase and is powered by a 1.5-liter engine producing 103 horsepower and 145 Nm of torque.

Despite its affordable positioning, the Eado Plus comes equipped with a range of modern features, including a digital instrument cluster, touchscreen infotainment system, heated seats and steering wheel, climate control, parking sensors, and a power sunroof.

While the official launch date and pricing for the locally produced version remain undisclosed, there is speculation the model could also be exported to Russia to optimize logistics-though this has yet to be confirmed.
