Kazakhstan, US Sign Memorandum on Critical Minerals Cooperation

Kazakhstan and the United States have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation in the field of critical minerals.

The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kazakh media.

The document was signed by Kazakhstan’s Minister of Industry and Construction, Yersaiyn Nagaspayev, and U.S. Secretary of Commerce, Howard Lutnick.

Earlier, President Tokayev arrived in Washington, D.C., where he was welcomed by U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau. His visit began with a meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and other senior representatives of President Donald Trump’s Administration.
