KazMunayGas, Turkish Petroleum Corporation Eye Joint Ventures in Oil, Gas, and Green Technologies

Kazakhstan’s KazMunayGas (KMG) national oil and gas company and Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO) have advanced discussions on expanding collaboration across the energy sector.

The talks, held in Astana, involved KMG Chairman Askhat Khassenov and TPAO President Ahmet Türkoğlu, The Caspian Post informs via KMG.

Both sides reviewed joint opportunities in oil and gas exploration, production, and attracting investments.

Earlier, TPAO experts participated in briefings on KMG’s promising geological exploration projects. As cooperation deepens, working groups are now evaluating the geological potential of various resource blocks in Kazakhstan, with practical implementation measures under consideration.

Khassenov highlighted KMG’s aim to build a long-term, mutually beneficial partnership with TPAO-one that goes beyond extraction to include knowledge sharing, advanced technology deployment, and environmentally sustainable practices.

“KazMunayGas highly values the potential for a strategic partnership with Turkish Petroleum Corporation. Strengthening ties with our Turkish counterparts will contribute to enhancing energy security, expanding international cooperation, and unlocking new drivers of economic growth for both Kazakhstan and Türkiye,” Khassenov stated.
