KazMunayGas, Uzbekneftegaz Strengthen Ties on Digital Innovation and Industrial Safety

Askhat Khassenov, Chairman of the Board of KazMunayGas (KMG), and Bakhodirjon Sidikov, Chairman of the Board of Uzbekneftegaz (UNG), have met in Astana to discuss the progress of a four-party memorandum on digitalization and industrial safety, involving KMG, SOCAR, Tatneft, and UNG.

The meeting emphasized the ongoing exchange of expertise, particularly in the areas of information technology and artificial intelligence, strengthening cooperation between the companies, The Caspian Post reports via KMG.

The two sides also explored further collaboration opportunities in geological exploration. A joint working group is actively reviewing projects at promising geological sites across Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. To support this effort, KMG has created a DataRoom - a unified information platform enabling UNG specialists to access and analyze geological and technical data related to exploration activities.

Furthermore, the discussions included prospects for cooperation in oil and gas refining and petrochemical production, with particular focus on the establishment of a new facility for manufacturing linear alkylbenzene.
