Russia has become the leading supplier of mineral water to Kyrgyzstan, sharply increasing exports during the first half of 2026 and overtaking Kazakhstan.
Russian mineral water shipments to Kyrgyzstan increased 6.6 times in January-June compared with the same period last year. Export volumes rose from 657,428.9 liters worth $282,200 to 4.34 million liters valued at $9.581 million, according to TASS.
At the same time, Kyrgyzstan imported slightly less water containing added sugar, including mineral and carbonated drinks.
Imports of these products fell from 16.749 million liters worth $9.378 million in the first half of 2025 to 13.297 million liters worth $10.104 million during the same period of 2026.
