Foreign nationals who exceed their permitted period of stay in Kyrgyzstan will face restrictions on re-entering the country under updated migration rules.
The period of an entry ban will automatically correspond to the length of the visa-free stay period established for the relevant foreign national. The calculation will be carried out through Kyrgyzstan’s Unified External Migration Accounting System, according to 24.kg.
An exception has been introduced for foreign spouses and minor children of Kyrgyz citizens. They will be allowed to enter the country once in order to legalize their status and will have 30 working days to obtain the necessary documents.
Foreign nationals may also apply for a residence permit in accordance with Kyrgyzstan’s migration legislation.
In addition, Moldova has been added to one of the country lists under the updated migration rules.
