Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan are deepening their tourism collaboration following high-level meetings between the two countries’ officials.
Umid Shadiev, Chairman of Uzbekistan’s Tourism Committee, met with Nuralkhan Kusherov, governor of Kazakhstan’s Turkestan Region, to discuss strategies for boosting bilateral tourism, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
During the discussions, both sides focused on developing joint travel routes, implementing investment projects in the tourism sector, and promoting cultural and gastronomic tourism. They also emphasized sharing best practices in tourism infrastructure, workforce development, and innovative solutions for managing tourist flows efficiently.
The visit included business-to-business (B2B) meetings and presentations with representatives from travel agencies, hotels, and entrepreneurs from both countries. These sessions highlighted Kazakhstan and Turkestan’s tourism potential and explored opportunities to attract international visitors.
At the conclusion of the talks, officials from both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continuing constructive dialogue and pursuing concrete joint initiatives to further strengthen tourism ties between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
