Kyrgyz Athlete Wins First Gold at Asian Youth Games in Bahrain

Kyrgyz jiu-jitsu athlete Ramazan Tyanguber has claimed gold in the 69kg weight class at the third Asian Youth Games, marking Kyrgyzstan’s first top podium finish in this edition of the Games.

Tyanguber began his campaign in the round of 16, defeating opponents from Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Kazakhstan in consecutive matches, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

In the final, he faced Rafael Orumbayev of Kazakhstan and secured a decisive victory to take first place.

The third Asian Youth Games are being held from October 22 to 31 in Manama, bringing together young athletes from across Asia to compete in multiple sports.
