A group of Kyrgyz doctors is currently undergoing professional training in modern endoscopic surgery at a clinic in Changsha, China.
As part of international healthcare cooperation, specialists from the National Hospital are participating in a two-week training program designed to enhance their qualifications and introduce minimally invasive surgical technologies, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.
The delegation includes four doctors and the head of the surgical gastroenterology and endocrinology department, who is overseeing Kyrgyzstan’s involvement in the program.
The training combines lectures, master classes, and live surgeries led by leading Chinese specialists. Participants are learning about the latest endoscopic techniques, postoperative patient care, and the organization of high-tech surgical services.
“Kyrgyzstan attaches great importance to improving the qualifications of medical personnel. Such international internships allow our doctors to adopt best international practices and implement modern technologies in domestic practice,” said Bakyt Tologonov, Chief Physician of the National Hospital.
Officials emphasized that the exchange will help improve the quality of healthcare in Kyrgyzstan, expand the use of advanced surgical methods, and further strengthen bilateral medical cooperation with China.
