Kyrgyz President Arrives in Japan for Central Asia Summit

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov has arrived in Japan for a working visit at the invitation of Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi to participate in the First Central Asia + Japan Dialogue Summit.

The presidential aircraft landed at Tokyo’s Haneda International Airport, where national flags of the Central Asian countries were displayed and a red carpet welcome was arranged, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

President Japarov was greeted by Japanese Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs Eri Arfiya and other senior officials.

During the visit, a bilateral meeting with Japan’s top leadership is scheduled. On the sidelines of the summit, a Central Asia-Japan Business Forum will take place, focusing on expanding trade and economic cooperation between the regions.
