Kyrgyz Deputy PM, Ukraine's Envoy Discuss World Affairs

Deputy Chairman of the Kyrgyz Cabinet of Ministers Edil Baisalov has met with Ukraine’s Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Valeriy Zhovtenko to discuss key international policy issues.

During the meeting, the sides discussed key international policy issues and the current state of the Kyrgyzstan-Ukraine bilateral relations, exchanging views on a range of matters of mutual interest, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

The Kyrgyz side reiterated its firm and consistent position on the situation in Ukraine, stressing the need for a swift end to the bloodshed and expressing support for international negotiating initiatives aimed at achieving a political and diplomatic settlement of the conflict, with humanitarian considerations placed at the forefront.

Following the talks, both sides confirmed their commitment to maintaining regular working contacts and continuing constructive cooperation.
