Kyrgyzstan Launches Innovative Fund to Boost Digital Infrastructure and IT Development

Kyrgyzstan is taking a major step toward accelerating its digital transformation with the creation of a special fund dedicated to developing digital infrastructure, information technology, and communications.

The initiative was approved by a resolution signed by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

According to the document, the new Innovative Fund for Digital Infrastructure, IT, and Communications Development will operate under the Ministry of Digital Development and Innovative Technologies. The fund will finance digitalization projects, introduce advanced technological solutions, modernize telecommunications, and enhance e-government and digital security services.

The resolution officially takes effect in 15 days, marking the beginning of a new phase in Kyrgyzstan’s efforts to strengthen its digital economy.
