Kyrgyzstan Receives $1.52 Billion in Money Transfers in First Half of 2025

Kyrgyzstan’s National Bank has stated that the country received a total of $1.52 billion in money transfers from January through June 2025.

In June, remittance inflows reached $295.1 million, with the vast majority-$278.2 million-originating from member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

Transfers from non-CIS countries accounted for $16.9 million during the month.

At the same time, Kyrgyzstan sent out $34.5 million in remittances in June, with $32.4 million going to CIS countries and $2.1 million sent to other foreign destinations.
