Kyrgyzstan, US Discuss Strengthening Security Cooperation

Kyrgyz Deputy Interior Minister Nurbek Abdiev has met with Melissa Crawford, Director of the International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs Section at the US Embassy in Kyrgyzstan.

The meeting included heads of the Drug Control Service, the Main Directorate for International Cooperation, and representatives from the Criminal Investigation Department, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

The officials discussed enhancing bilateral cooperation in security, focusing on cybercrime, human trafficking, drug trafficking, and other transnational threats. They emphasized that expanding partnerships and sharing expertise strengthens joint law enforcement efforts.

The Interior Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to continue working with international partners to maintain public safety and stability.
