Chinese President Xi Jinping will visit Kyrgyzstan on August 30 for a state visit at the invitation of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov.

During talks, the two leaders are expected to discuss further development of the strategic partnership between China and Kyrgyzstan, AKIpress reports.

The visit is also expected to result in the signing of a series of interstate, intergovernmental and interagency agreements.

Xi Jinping will take part in events marking the 35th anniversary of Kyrgyzstan’s independence, as well as a meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO).

The Chinese leader is also scheduled to attend the opening ceremony of the World Nomad Games.

As part of his international trip, Xi Jinping is also expected to make a state visit to Egypt.
