Iran’s Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref and Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Guoqing met in Tehran on Wednesday to discuss expanding bilateral ties, particularly in the economic sector.

The diplomatic delegations of Iran and China discussed ways to expand cooperation, especially in the economic fields and areas of mutual interest. The talks were held on Wednesday, The Caspian Post reports, citing Iranian media.

In the meeting, Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Guoqing and Iran’s Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref emphasized that expanding relations between the two large and important Asian countries has a great impact on regional peace and security.

The two sides stressed expanding fields of cooperation and developing economic exchanges.
