Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that a new round of negotiations between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump could occur in the near future.

"Of course, it's possible. I have no doubt that if the presidents deem it necessary, a meeting can be arranged very quickly - just like the one in Alaska was," Peskov noted, adding that working-level contacts are ongoing, The Caspian Post reports citing local media.

He emphasized that organizing such talks could be done in the shortest possible time.
