The decision to close the OSCE Minsk Process was adopted unanimously by all 57 OSCE member states.
“This historic development underscores the potential of diplomacy, even after decades of conflict and mistrust. It demonstrates that agreement remains possible when all parties share a common determination to find a compromise,” said OSCE Secretary General Feridun Sinirlioğlu, commenting on the decision, The Caspian Post reports via local media.
He also reaffirmed his steadfast commitment to supporting efforts aimed at establishing lasting peace and stability in the region.
Earlier, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry reported that the OSCE Ministerial Council decided to terminate the activities of the OSCE Minsk Process and its associated structures, effective September 1, 2025. The OSCE Secretariat has been tasked with completing all organizational and technical matters related to the dissolution of these structures no later than December 1, 2025.
