Russian President Vladimir Putin held his second telephone conversation in a week with his Iranian counterpart Masoud Pezeshkian, the Kremlin’s press office said in a statement on Tuesday.
According to the Kremlin, the latest conversation focused on the situation in the Middle East, with both leaders resuming discussions on developments related to what the statement described as Israeli and US aggression against Iran, The Caspian Post reports.
Their previous call took place on March 6, after Putin held a series of discussions with leaders of Persian Gulf countries.
On March 9, the Russian president also spoke by phone with US President Donald Trump.
