A deadly knife attack outside a mosque in central Türkiye has left two people dead, prompting an investigation by local authorities.
The incident occurred in the Kocasinan district of Kayseri province. Preliminary information indicates that a man identified as Mehmet A., who reportedly suffered from a mental illness, attacked two individuals with a knife near the entrance of a mosque, The Caspian Post reports via NTV.
Both victims died at the scene despite emergency response efforts.
Security forces quickly intervened, and the suspect was detained by gendarmerie units shortly after the attack.
