Fire at Radisson Blu Olympiyskiy Hotel Triggers Evacuation of 400 Guests in Central Moscow

A fire at the Radisson Blu Olympiyskiy in central Moscow has forced the evacuation of about 400 guests, after smoke was detected on the third floor of the hotel on Samarskaya Street.

Emergency services responded quickly, and no injuries have been reported, The Caspian Post informs via Russian media.

This is the latest in a string of hotel-related emergencies in Moscow. Just last week, 700 guests were evacuated from the Azimut Hotel, another high-end property in the city center.

A similar incident occurred on November 11, when a fire alarm at a hotel on Olimpiyskiy Avenue prompted the evacuation of more than 700 guests, including children attending the LT FEST theater festival. Witnesses said they saw no smoke or smelled anything burning, and preliminary findings suggest an electrical malfunction may have triggered the alarm. Guests were later allowed to return.
