Fire in Russia's Kamchatka Kills Four, Including Two Children

A tragic fire in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Russia’s Kamchatka region has claimed the lives of four people, including two children.

The blaze broke out in an apartment at 15/2 Gorky Street, covering about 10 square meters, The Caspian Post reports via Russian media.

Emergency services deployed 12 firefighters and three vehicles to tackle the fire.

Rescuers found two adult men and two children unconscious inside the apartment. Firefighters began resuscitation efforts, but all four were later pronounced dead after being handed over to paramedics.

The State Fire Supervision Service has launched an investigation into the fire, and authorities have opened a criminal case connected to the incident.
