Qatar’s Defense Ministry said its air force successfully shot down two fighter jets approaching from Iran.

In a statement, the ministry added that naval and air defense systems also destroyed seven ballistic missiles and intercepted five Iranian drones, The Caspian Post reports.

“The threat was dealt with immediately upon detection, in line with the operational plan, as all missiles were intercepted before reaching their intended targets,” the statement said.
