Saudi Arabia, Türkiye and Pakistan Seek Regional Coordination With Iran

Representatives of Saudi Arabia, Türkiye and Pakistan will meet with Iranian officials in Tehran on October 26 to discuss regional coordination.

Saudi Arabia will be represented by Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman Al Saud, while Pakistan will send its army chief, Asim Munir. Türkiye will be represented by Ibrahim Kalin, head of the country's National Intelligence Organization, Reuters reports.

The meeting comes after the three countries signed the Mecca Agreement in early August. Under the agreement, an attack on any one of the three signatories is considered an attack on all three, establishing a mutual defense commitment.

The talks in Tehran are expected to focus on regional coordination amid ongoing security challenges in the Middle East.
