Telegram may soon see its operations restored in Russia, as discussions between the platform and authorities appear to be moving forward.
Member of the Council for Civil Society and Human Rights, Alexander Ionov, said there is a high probability that the messenger will resume full functionality in the country, The Caspian Post reports via Russian media.
He noted that Telegram’s team is likely to reach an agreement with Russian regulators and comply with required conditions - particularly those related to countering extremism and restricting channels considered a threat to national security.
