Turkish Media Keeps Spotlight on WUF13 in Baku

The 13th World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku is attracting significant coverage from Turkish news outlets, including TV channels, newspapers, and online media.

Several television channels from Türkiye broadcast the opening ceremony of WUF13 live on May 18, reaching a large audience and highlighting the importance of the forum attended by President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, The Caspian Post reports, citing AZERTAC.

The coverage also featured excerpts from President Ilham Aliyev’s remarks.

Particular attention was given to President Ilham Aliyev’s remarks on Azerbaijan’s rapid progress in urban development, the reconstruction of Garabagh and East Zangezur, and the “Great Return” program.

Turkish media also widely covered the visit of the delegation led by Murat Kurum, Türkiye’s Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change.
