Türkiye has brought its last three major active wildfires under control following a large-scale firefighting operation involving aircraft, helicopters, drones, and thousands of ground personnel.

Turkish Agriculture and Forestry Minister Ibrahim Yumaklı said firefighters successfully contained the blazes in the Çine district of Aydın Province, Susurluk in Balıkesir Province, and Buca in Izmir Province through coordinated air and ground operations, TRT Haber reports.

"As a result of effective actions from the air and the ground, the fires in Çine, Susurluk and Buca have been brought fully under control," the minister said.

Yumaklı said that 314 wildfires have broken out across Türkiye since July 29, putting emergency services under intense pressure during the peak of the fire season.

According to the Turkish Presidency's Directorate of Communications, firefighting efforts involved 28 aircraft, 119 helicopters, 14 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and more than 5,000 pieces of ground equipment, underscoring the scale of the nationwide response.
