Türkiye Sees 4.8% Growth in Exports to Neighboring Countries in First Half of 2025

The Turkish Ministry of Trade and Türkiye Exporters Assembly have announced that goods and services worth $13.3 billion were exported to neighboring countries in the first half of 2025, reflecting a 4.8 per cent increase compared to the same period last year.

Türkiye’s total exports from January to June 2025 reached $131.44 billion, marking a 4.1 per cent year-on-year growth, The Caspian Post reports via local media.

This continued export momentum underscores the resilience of Türkiye’s trade sector amid ongoing regional and global economic shifts.

The $13.3 billion figure for neighboring countries includes exports to Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Greece, up from $12.68 billion in the same period of 2024.

One of the strongest performers was Azerbaijan, where Turkish exports increased by 8.8 per cent year-on-year in the first half of 2025, reflecting strengthening economic ties and growing demand for Turkish goods.

Analysts note that Türkiye’s diversified export markets and strong regional logistics network have played a key role in sustaining export growth, even as global trade faces headwinds from inflation, geopolitical tensions, and fluctuating commodity prices.
