A citizen of Tajikistan has been detained in Abkhazia on suspicion of extremism and later deported to Russia.
According to the State Security Service, the individual identified as Karimkhon Saidov was accused of posting extremist content on social media, including messages supporting radical groups in Syria and materials promoting religious hatred, The Caspian Post reports via the Russian news website.
It was also established that Saidov had been staying in Abkhazia in violation of migration rules. He was deported to the Russian Federation.
Earlier, authorities in Abkhazia also detained a Turkish national wanted by Interpol and similarly deported him to Russia.
