Russia and Tajikistan have finalized a new agreement on medical examinations for Tajik citizens planning to work in Russia.
Under the agreement, which President Vladimir Putin has ratified, Tajik migrant workers will undergo mandatory health screenings in authorized medical facilities within Tajikistan before entering Russia, The Caspian Post reports via Russian media.
Signed in Dushanbe in October 2025, the deal ensures that medical checks are conducted on a paid basis in Tajikistan’s national currency. Once approved, the certification is fully recognized across Russia, streamlining the process for labor migration.
