Tajikistan is taking part in the International Tourism Exhibition-Fair “Silk Road Tourism 2025,” held in Tashkent from November 27 to 29.
According to the Committee for Tourism Development of Tajikistan, the event has gathered over 300 industry companies from 30 countries, The Caspian Post informs via Tajik media.
The Tajik delegation includes officials from the Tourism Development Committee, representatives of the country’s embassy in Uzbekistan, tourism associations, travel companies, health resorts, artisan unions, and development partners.
The exhibition offers a major platform for Tajikistan’s tourism sector to present its services to the global market. National companies are highlighting the country’s competitive advantages - from breathtaking natural landscapes and opportunities for medical and wellness tourism to eco, sports, and mountain travel, as well as the rich cultural heritage of the Tajik people.
A tourism forum is also taking place on the sidelines of the event, where Committee Chairman Jamshed Jumakhonzoda shared insights into Tajikistan’s growing tourism opportunities.
In addition, the head of the Committee held meetings with representatives from CIS countries and tourism bodies of partner nations, discussing ways to deepen regional cooperation and expand mutually beneficial ties in the sector.
The Tajik delegation is expected to sign several cooperation agreements during upcoming business-to-business (B2B) meetings.
