Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva have arrived in Bukhara from Uzbekistan’s capital, Tashkent, as part of their official visit to the country.

At Bukhara International Airport, President Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva were welcomed by Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and his wife, Ziroat Mirziyoyeva, Azertac reports.

President Aliyev arrived in Uzbekistan on August 23 for a state visit, marking a new high-level engagement between the two closely cooperating countries.

A guard of honor was lined up for President Aliyev at Tashkent-Khumo International Airport upon his arrival.
