The magic of world football is coming to Uzbekistan.
On January 28, the FIFA World Cup™ Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola will arrive in Tashkent, giving fans a rare chance to see the most prestigious trophy in football ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026™, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
This marks the sixth global Trophy Tour organized by The Coca-Cola Company in partnership with FIFA. Over the years, the tour has brought the authentic FIFA World Cup Trophy to hundreds of thousands of fans worldwide, visiting 182 of FIFA’s 211 member associations.
Tashkent’s inclusion carries special significance. For the first time in history, Uzbekistan has qualified for the FIFA World Cup, making the Trophy’s arrival a symbolic celebration of a milestone moment for national football. In the Uzbek capital, the event is being held with the support of the Uzbekistan Football Association.
“The FIFA World Cup Trophy is the greatest symbol in sport,” said Romy Gai, FIFA’s Chief Business Officer. He noted that the current tour is particularly meaningful as it marks the 20th anniversary of the Trophy Tour and builds momentum toward the largest World Cup ever, to be hosted across Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
The tour officially launched on January 3, 2026 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and will travel to 30 countries. Since its inception, more than four million fans across the globe have taken part in the experience, uniting generations through a shared love of football.
“We are excited to bring fans even closer to the heart of the game,” said Michael Viner, Vice President of Global Assets, Influencers and Partnerships at Coca-Cola. “In Uzbekistan, fans will be able to feel the emotion and atmosphere of football up close.”
Fans in Tashkent can also compete for a chance to see the Trophy by purchasing select Coca-Cola, Fanta, or Sprite products, entering the code under the cap via the Telegram bot @uzcocacolabot, and taking part in a promotional draw. Prizes include exclusive experiences and even a potential trip to the FIFA World Cup 2026™.
Crafted from solid gold and weighing 6.175 kilograms, the original FIFA World Cup Trophy has been awarded to champions since 1974 and remains the property of FIFA. While only a select few are allowed to touch it, the Trophy Tour offers fans a rare opportunity to stand face-to-face with football history.
As a long-standing FIFA partner since 1976, Coca-Cola continues to bring the world’s most coveted trophy closer to fans-building anticipation for the FIFA World Cup 2026™ and celebrating the global power of the game.
