Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will pay a state visit to Uzbekistan on August 29-30, Indian Deputy Foreign Minister Sibi George has announced.
During his visit to Tashkent, Modi is scheduled to meet with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and visit one of the country’s universities, according to UzDaily.
This will be Modi’s fourth visit to Uzbekistan, underscoring the growing ties between New Delhi and Tashkent.
The two sides are expected to discuss key areas of bilateral cooperation, including trade and investment, critical minerals, healthcare and education.
The talks will also cover cooperation in space and technology, culture and other sectors, as both countries look to further expand their strategic partnership.
