Uzbekistan’s Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency has held a meeting with a Japanese delegation to discuss potential collaboration and explore Uzbekistan’s growing pharmaceutical market.
The delegation featured representatives from the Pharmaceutical Cooperative Union in Nara and several major Japanese firms, including Shinsei Pharmaceutical Industry Co., Ltd., Daibutsudo Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., SATO YAKUHIN KOGYO Co., Ltd., TAMURA PHARMACEUTICAL CO., LTD., and Yamato Godo Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
During discussions with agency director Abdulla Azizov, both sides reviewed the progress of reforms in Uzbekistan’s pharmaceutical sector. Key topics included boosting exports of locally produced medicines, reducing import dependence, and expanding international partnerships-particularly in both manufacturing and distribution.
The talks were described as constructive, with both parties expressing readiness to advance practical cooperation and explore mutually beneficial projects in the near future.
