New data from Uzbekistan’s National Statistics Committee reveals that most men in the country are marrying in their 20s, highlighting a trend of early adulthood as the prime age for starting families.
From January to June 2025, Uzbekistan saw a total of 95,275 marriages, The Caspian Post reports per Uzbek media.
The data shows that most grooms (79.3 per cent) were aged between 20 and 30. Only 1.4 per cent were under 20, 13.2 per cent were aged 31 to 40, and 6.1 per cent were over 41.
For brides, more than a third (34 per cent) married before turning 20, while 54.2 per cent were between 20 and 30. Women aged 31 to 40 accounted for 9.1 per cent, and those over 41 made up 2.7 per cent.
