Uzbekistan is continuing to evacuate its citizens from Middle Eastern countries. So far, 41 flights have been operated by Uzbekistan Airways, Centrum Air, Qanot Sharq, FlyOne Asia, Fly Khiva, and Air Samarqand.
A total of 7,988 passengers have returned to Uzbekistan on 36 flights from Medina and Jeddah, while 838 passengers have arrived on five flights from Dubai, The Caspian Post reports, citing UzA.
At present, Uzbekistan Airways is operating flights HY-334 Dubai - Tashkent and HY-338 Jeddah - Tashkent; Centrum Air is operating flights C6-318 Jeddah - Samarkand and C6-352 Dubai - Tashkent; and Qanot Sharq is operating flight HH-902 Dubai - Tashkent.
The evacuation is mainly being carried out from countries whose airspace remains open to civil aviation.
Negotiations are underway with the aviation authorities of Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait, and charter flights are planned for the coming days to return compatriots to Uzbekistan via Saudi Arabian territory.
