Uzbek Carpets Make Global Mark with $10.8 Million in Exports in Six Months

Uzbekistan exported 3.6 million square meters of carpets during the first six months of 2025, generating a total export value of $10.8 million.

The largest importer of Uzbek carpets was Kyrgyzstan, which received 1.086 million square meters of the products, The Caspian Post reports per Kyrgyz media.

Other major export destinations included Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Russia, and Kazakhstan, reflecting strong regional demand.

Carpet exports remain a crucial sector for Uzbekistan’s economy, fueling the expansion of the textile industry and reinforcing trade partnerships with neighboring countries and beyond.

The country’s growing reputation in the global carpet market is attributed to the exceptional quality and unique designs of its carpets, which continue attracting buyers worldwide.
