Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Kyrgyzstan on July 30 for a state visit at the invitation of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov.
Mirziyoyev was welcomed by Japarov at Issyk-Kul International Airport, where an official reception featuring elements of Kyrgyz national culture was held in honor of the visiting leader, 24.kg reports.
During the visit, the two presidents are expected to hold one-on-one talks as well as expanded-format negotiations. The meetings are expected to result in the signing of several bilateral agreements and other documents.
Mirziyoyev will also participate in an informal consultative meeting of the leaders of Central Asian states and Azerbaijan in Cholpon-Ata, in Kyrgyzstan’s Issyk-Kul region.
