Uzbek President Arrives in Washington for High-Level Talks with Donald Trump

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has arrived in the US capital for a working visit at the invitation of President Donald Trump.

Upon arrival at Joint Base Andrews, President Mirziyoyev was greeted by US Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau, American-Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce Chair Carolyn Lamm, and other senior officials, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

The visit’s key events are set for November 5-6, including bilateral talks with President Trump and participation in the “C5+1” Summit, which brings together leaders of Central Asian nations and the US to discuss regional cooperation and strategic partnerships.

President Mirziyoyev’s agenda also features meetings with members of the US Congress, negotiations with top executives from leading American companies, and a business roundtable aimed at strengthening trade and investment ties between Uzbekistan and the US.
