During his business visit to New York, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has met with Robert Lowenthal, President and CEO of Oppenheimer Holdings, to discuss the bank’s key role in advancing Uzbekistan’s private sector development and supporting the issuance of Eurobonds.
Both sides expressed strong commitment to expanding financing programs aimed at bolstering private business growth, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
In a parallel development, a delegation from Uzbekistan’s Andijan region, led by Hokim Shukhratbek Abdurakhmonov, signed a landmark investment agreement with Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. valued at $300 million. The deal marks a major step forward in attracting foreign investment and accelerating economic development in the region.
This engagement underscores Uzbekistan’s ongoing efforts to deepen international financial partnerships and promote sustainable economic growth.
