Uzbek President to Attend Olympic Council of Asia Assembly

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, will take part in the 46th General Assembly of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), which is set to become one of the key international platforms for discussing the development of the Olympic movement across the Asian region.

During the event, the Uzbek leader is expected to deliver a keynote address outlining Uzbekistan’s state priorities in physical culture and sports, as well as the country’s vision for expanding international cooperation in the sports sector, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

On the sidelines of the assembly, President Mirziyoyev will also hold a series of bilateral meetings with the leadership of the Olympic Council of Asia and representatives of leading international sports organizations.

The talks are expected to focus on prospects for strengthening cooperation, implementing joint initiatives, and supporting the development of sports and Olympic values in Uzbekistan and across the wider region.
