Uzbekistan and Belarus Trade Volume Surpasses $600 Million

Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to Uzbekistan, Alexander Ogorodnikov, paid a visit to the Senate of the Oliy Majlis.

Cooperation issues between the two countries in trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian, and tourism spheres were discussed during the meeting with Deputy Chairman of the Committee on International Relations, Foreign Economic Ties, Foreign Investments, and Tourism, O. Mamatkarimov, The Caspian Post reports citing UzA.

It was noted that the annual trade turnover between the two countries exceeded $600 million.

The Belarusian Ambassador informed about the First Belarus - Uzbekistan Tourism Forum held in Minsk and noted that the second forum is planned to be held this year in Tashkent, and the Third Belarus - Uzbekistan Women's Forum will be held in Vitebsk on August 20-21.

The issue of holding the 150th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Tashkent on April 5-9, which will be attended by about 2,000 members of parliaments from 185 countries, was discussed at the meeting.
