Uzbekistan recorded a significant surge in foreign visitors for commercial purposes during the first half of 2025, with 223,600 arrivals reported by the National Statistics Committee.
This marks an impressive increase of 158,600 visitors, or 3.4 times more than the same period last year, The Caspian Post reports per Uzbek media.
The majority of these visitors came from neighboring Afghanistan, which accounted for 207,536 arrivals. Other leading countries included Tajikistan with 12,244 visitors and Turkmenistan with 1,642. Smaller but notable numbers arrived from Russia (451), Türkiye (276), and Kazakhstan (255). Visitors from other countries totaled 1,177.
