Head of Uzbekistan's Presidential Administration Saida Mirziyoyeva met with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi to discuss the further development of the strategic partnership between the two countries.
Wang Yi is also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and head of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Central Committee, The Caspian Post reports, citing Uza.uz.
According to Mirziyoyeva, the meeting was held in an open and friendly atmosphere. She said the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and China was reaching a new level and creating additional opportunities to expand bilateral relations.
The sides reviewed cooperation in key areas, including trade and economic ties, investment and cultural relations.
Particular attention was given to the global agenda, with the participants discussing the development of common positions on current international issues.
Mirziyoyeva thanked Wang Yi for the substantive and open exchange of views.
