Uzbekistan has successfully concluded its World Trade Organization (WTO) accession talks with Ecuador, bringing the country closer to full membership.
The bilateral negotiations were finalized with the signing of a protocol on November 6, leaving only two more countries to complete the process, The Caspian Post reports, citing Uzbek media.
In a statement following the agreement, Uzbekistan’s representative, Urunov, expressed his gratitude to the Ecuadorian delegation for their constructive dialogue and continued support throughout the negotiations. This marks a significant step in Uzbekistan’s journey to joining the WTO, with just a few remaining steps needed to finalize its membership.
