Uzbekistan Introduces New Ebola-Related Rules for US-Bound Passengers

Passengers flying from Uzbekistan to the US will face additional requirements starting November 3 amid concerns over the potential spread of the Ebola virus.

All passengers, including transit travelers, must complete a declaration confirming that they have not visited the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) during the previous 21 days, according to Sputnik Uzbekistan.

Parents or legal guardians must complete the declaration on behalf of minors.

Passengers who fail to submit the required document will not be allowed to board their flights.

Providing false information on the declaration may result in criminal liability.

The new requirements apply to passengers departing from Uzbekistan for the US and are intended to address Ebola-related public health concerns.
