A meeting in Tashkent between Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Mining and Geology and a delegation from Iran’s international engineering company IRITEC has focused on investment opportunities.
The delegation is on a visit from December 21 to 25. The Uzbek side was represented by First Deputy Minister F. Hamidova, Minister’s Advisor B. Normatov, and other senior officials. From Iran, the delegation included the trade advisor of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
During the meeting, IRITEC was briefed on ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan’s mining and geological sectors. The discussions also focused on the development of cooperation in the mining industry.
Both sides expressed mutual interest in strengthening business ties and creating conditions for sustainable development of the sector, highlighting the potential for expanded collaboration between Uzbekistan and Iranian companies.
