Uzbekistan, Oman Explore Cooperation on Critical Minerals

An Uzbek delegation held a series of business meetings in Oman, during which the sides discussed expanding cooperation in geology, mining, geological exploration and attracting investment.

Deputy Minister of Mining Industry and Geology Rustam Yusupov met with representatives of Omani company Minerals Development Oman (MDO), The Caspian Post reports, citing Uzbek media.

The sides discussed opportunities to organize geological exploration at promising sites and develop deposits of precious minerals.

Separate talks were held with Tasnim Group, with particular attention given to cooperation in critical minerals, joint geological exploration at promising sites in Uzbekistan and the implementation of new investment projects.

During the visit, Uzbek representatives also met with officials from the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, and the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones.

In addition, meetings were held with representatives of Omani companies Nine Business Company LLC, Oman Trade Establishment, OQ, Al Zubair Corporation LLC and Asyad Group.

The sides emphasized during the meetings the importance of expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in the mining and geology sectors. Particular attention was paid to continuing practical cooperation aimed at attracting modern technologies and investment to the relevant areas.

Following the talks, the sides agreed to continue cooperation in promising areas of mutual interest.
