Uzbekistan Targets 50 Visa-Free Countries by 2030

Uzbekistan is planning to significantly expand the number of countries its citizens can visit without a visa, aiming to reach 50 visa-free destinations by 2030.

This goal is outlined in the draft of the updated Uzbekistan-2030 Strategy, The Caspian Post reports, citing Uzbek media.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been tasked with gradually expanding the list of destinations where Uzbek citizens can travel visa-free: to 37 countries in 2026, 42 in 2027, 45 in 2028, 48 in 2029, and 50 by 2030.

By 2030, the number of countries offering simplified entry procedures for Uzbek citizens is also planned to increase. Over the next five years, this figure is expected to grow by at least 15 - from 45 to 60.

In addition, the draft strategy includes agreements enabling Uzbek citizens to travel within Central Asia using national ID cards. Two agreements are planned for 2026 and one more for 2027.
